Conversion rate is purchases ÷ sessions. “(untagged)” is traffic that arrived without any utm parameters — direct visits, organic, and any ad link missing its tags.
Build a campaign link
Values are lowercased and spaces become hyphens automatically — Cold Fountain and
cold-fountain would otherwise show up as two separate rows.
Meta Ads — paste once, tags every ad
Put this in the ad’s URL parameters field (Ad level → Tracking, or set it at
account level). Meta fills the {{…}} placeholders per ad, so campaign, ad set and
creative names arrive on their own — nothing to maintain by hand.
| Placeholder | Becomes |
|---|---|
{{site_source_name}} | fb · ig · msg · an — splits Facebook from Instagram |
{{campaign.name}} | the campaign name |
{{adset.name}} | the ad set / audience |
{{ad.name}} | the creative |
{{campaign.id}} | stable id, survives renames |
Never put an email, phone number or customer id in the URL — it lands in the stored
landing_url. Campaign names only.
